Modern optics key provincial laboratory

　Modern optics key provincial laboratory was a laboratory of Shandong in the “ninth five-plan". Modern optics key laboratory has eighteen researchers, including eight professors, nine associate professors, three lecturers. After five-year construction, it has reached to the advanced level in the same kind in China. It became the single one open to the public in the first national ploy in 2001.

　It has three research directions: nonlinear optics, optical information processing, the interaction between the light and the material.

　It has undertaken twenty one projects of all kinds since 1996 , including three of National Natural Science foundation, one of "863" project, ten of Science Committee National Science fund of Shandong province, the funds has reached to 815 thousands. It has published one hundred and thirty articles in SCI source and key periodicals, about eighty articles have been included in SCI, thirty have been included in EI.

　One achievement wins the first prize of the Universities progress in science and technology in China issued by the Education Ministry, one achievement wins the third prize of the progress in science and technology in Shandong.
